Entry requirements

Applicants must have successfully completed a high school diploma or hold an equivalent qualification. Applicants without these qualifications will require additional verification. Applicants are required to pass an audition consisting of a test on their major subject, a theoretical test and an ear training test. Applicants require proof of nationality and proof of proficiency in English. Register for the upcoming audition.

Five-day workshops are run twice a year allowing full-time dedication to improving practical skills and teaching the specialist knowledge by working with professionals from the design, video and games industries.
Beginning in the 5th semester, students specialize in a particular field of interest, such as performance, education and song-writing/producing. The individual’s field of expertise is complemented by a final research project (Bachelor thesis).

Practical instruction is embedded in our theoretical coursework – harmony, ear training and composition, for example, as well as the history of pop music. In addition to the practical training, students gain valuable insight into music production and learn about stage and studio equipment, while at the same time broadening their knowledge of media and legal issues concerning the music “business” and the industries involved and their managerial and strategic expertise.
